| Ashley | Black lab retriever | Female | Adopted | |
| Ashley is a black lab retriever mix female, about 1 year old, who was found as a puppy on the highway and taken in along with her two brothers. The kind people who took her in are now needing to find her a new home due to overcrowding and her dislike of one of their other dogs. Ashley was just spayed and is current on vaccines. She is full grown at 80 pounds and is a fairly large girl. She is well behaved and looking for a family who loves her breed and will give her a good forever home. Please call 406-827-8722 if interested in Ashley. | ||||
| Cowboy | German Shepherd mix | Male | Adoptable | |
| Cowboy is an adult German shepherd mix that spent his entire life before the shelter on a chain. His only toy was his food bowl, and to this day, he plays constantly with his bowl, barking at it while he uses it as a hockey puck! He is a great guard dog who loves his master and mistress and some other folks, but does not like to have his space compromised by intruders. He would need a fenced in area and would need supervision around strangers. He has the potential to be a great companion for a family and/or a great guard dog. He is leash trained and does not potty in his enclosure or in his kennel. | ||||
| Graham | Chow, Australiam shepherd, Sharpei | Male | Adoptable | |
| This really nice Chow mix boy is a 5 year adult who is being given up due to economic reasons and inabillity to afford him. He is a very nice and friendly smaller chow mix who warms up to people after he gets to know them a bit (a few minutes). He has the usual chow protective bark, then he settles right in to being petted on the tummy. This guy is wanting a good home where he does not have to live on a chain as he has been during the day, and he would love to have someone who will keep him brushed out. He has pretty thick fur and would love to be groomed periodically. Graham likes cats, likes to hike and camp, but can not stand bears! This is a nice dog who needs a fresh start in life with a human companion who has love and time for him. If you are interested, please give us a call at 406-827-8722. | ||||
| Jackie | Mixed | Female | On 2 Week Trial Adoption | |
| Jackie is a medium sized female dog with a reddish brown color and a short tail. WE think whe may have some boxer in her and possibly some American Staffordshire terrier. She was a stray girl and thus her breed is just a good guess. She is about 35-40 pounds and will be spayed next week. At that point she will be looking for a really good home. She is good with kids, and is now learning to walk on a leash without pulling. She needs work in this area and she is strong. A fenced yard will be a great idea for this girl so that she can run off her puppy energy. We believe her to be under 1 year to 1.5 years. Please call if you have an interest in this little cutie. 406-827-8722. | ||||
| Lucky | German Shepherd mix | Male | Adoptable | |
| Lucky is a beautiful german shepherd and setter mix male, about 1.5 years old. He is very well behaved and is very devoted to his owner/handler. We know his Mom and she is a purebred GSD. We were told the Dad was an Irish setter, but think maybe a Gordon setter might be more likely. Lucky's owner was not taking care of Lucky and he is now at the shelter having a much better life. He absolutely loves to play ball and returns it every time!! Very obedient as well. His only problem is that he has a couple of toes missing from his rear foot and it is unknown hos that happened. In gravel, he may limp a bit, but in grass he runs very gracefully. A great pet here for someone who wants a wonderful companion. Neutered and up to date on vaccines. | ||||
| Mikey | Great Pyranees and German Shepherd | Male | Adoptable | |
| Mikey is a 2 year old neutered male Great Pyranees mixed with white German Shepherd. He is absolutely beautiful. He has the shorter coat of the shepherd and a face that combines both breeds. He is a beautiful white/yellow with big brown eyes. He is a big boy of about 80# or so, but he does know how to walk on a leash. He has quite a bit of energy and needs to get out and run a bit. He is smart and very trainable. He came to the shelter due to his new behavior of killing a chicken on a farm where the chickens are important and prized. So...we took him in to find him a great new home. If you are interested please call 406-827-8722, | ||||
| Moonbeam | Bichon | Female | Adoptable | |
| Moonbeam, Mai Tai, Mona, Miracle, Mugsey,Major, and Maverick are all going to be adoptable some day!! These 7 Bichon adult dogs and 6 of their puppies, approximately 14 weeks old now, were removed from their breeders home in late May and brought to the shelter by the Sheriff's department. They were in pretty bad shape with tons of mats and dirt and eyes overgrown with hair to the point where they could not see. Some had worms and some of the pups were sick. But with the consistent care of TRACS volunteers, they are now bathed, trimmed, fed, vaccinated, de wormed, and just plain taken care of. They are ready for foster care homes and eventually should be adoptable. (as soon as the Sheriff's Department gets the release) They are going to make very devoted pets with non shed coats and they are not allergenic. If you are looking for a small dog to foster and eventually adopt, please call us at 406-827-8722. Adoption fees will be variable depending on age of the dog. They vary between 14 weeks and 7 years. | ||||
| Peanut | Beagle | Female | Adoptable | |
| Peanut is a purebred beagle girl who has now become homeless due to her owner going into a nursing home. She was raised and has lived with a 98 year old woman and 2 cats. She is very friendly, quite docile, and a little overweight. But then, she is 10 years old too! She would like to live out her years with a nice older couple or person who will love her and feed her some lower calorie food and give her some exercise! Please let us know if you may have room in your heart and in your home for this very nice girl. Her adoption fee reflects the fact that she is a senior and gets the senior discount applied. And if you are a senior, she will be 10% less. Please call us at 406-827-8722 if you are interested. A better picture will be forthcoming. | ||||
| Spook | Husky/malamute | Male | Adoptable | |
| Spook is a beautiful husky or malamute male of about 1.5 years of age. He came into the shelter from a guy who was moving and could not take him. It was said to us that he was a non biter. However, the change of environment and all the people that he did not know or trust changed that. He is gettinh better now and does accept care, walking, treats and etc from several people. He still does not like strangers to him and takes a while to adapt and become all right. He will be adoptable into an adult home with people who have some patience to work with him and let him build confidence. He will have to be monitored closely around children, guests and strangers. He walks well on a leash, but would really enjoy having a fenced yard to run in. Please call if you may have an interest. 827-8722. | ||||
